Take a look at market sentiments. Now that everyone knows that Modi government will win yet another landslide victory in 2019, share markets are seeing positive sentiments. FIIs are back to India.
What is the agenda of coalition government? What is their ideology? Left, right or centre? Are they capitalist or socialist. No one knows. But yes one thing is common- the greed to be in power.
If BJP wins another term in 2019 elections, Modi will go down in history as a leader who stood against all odds and yet won the mandate. BJP fought in his name and any win must be attributed to his leadership.
People will not reject opposition only because the present government could deliver on promises but also because the only goal of opposition was to defeat the incumbent. What about governance?
Even in opposition parties there is no unanimous approach over a range of issues. Yes, every player wasnts a ministerial berth and a piece in power. They will rule at the expense of the people of India.
In Bengal, Mamata Banerjee is so frustrated with the rise of BJP that TMC goons have resorted to violence. She did not accord permission to BJP leaders to conduct poll rallies but still BJP is making inroads.
The issue is there is no one leader in opposition unity. It has been rightly said that if opposition comes together to form a government in centre we may have a new prime minister everyday.
The biggest surprise of this election will be BJP’s performance in north-east, West Bengal and Orissa. Even if the party loses some seats in north, they will compensate in other territories.
Even the electorate knows what is the fate of coalition governments. Since 1980s the country has seen many coalition governments that only took India many years back in terms of growth and inclusive development.
Opinion polls are out and they clearly indicate that the country has rejected dirty and dishonest campaign of opposition parties to unseat Modi. It seems Modi still has at least 10 years as prime minister.
